November 6
Today’s work hours were completely devoted to cutting my woodblock. No sanding rust, no edition binding, just cutting the block. My hand feels like I was diligent. As you can see from the photo, I am about finished. I’ve shaded in areas with a pencil so I could see if a component is finished or not more easily. This will be erased from the block before printing.
Just the river, a goat, and a troll left to do. I feel like reworking the goat and I’m not totally confident with my troll’s representation under the bridge at the moment. First thing in the morning, I’ll commit to a solution for the creatures and finish the block. This needs to be printed tomorrow so that there is enough time for the prints to dry before mailing them off. Nothing like a tight deadline!
